Objectives

The aim of the OrganiK project is to research and develop an innovative knowledge management system that enables the semantic fusion of enterprise social software applications. The system accumulates information that can be exchanged among one or several collaborating companies. This enables an effective management of organisational knowledge, and can be adapted to functional requirements of smaller and knowledge-intensive companies. The OrganiK project will thus have a two-fold focus which will be achieved through the following research and innovation-related activities:

  1. The OrganiK project aims to develop an innovative Knowledge Management technological framework and technical architecture focused on the actual work practices of the participating small European knowledge-intensive companies, integrating different elements of enterprise social software and semantic technologies.
  2. The OrganiK project aims to develop of an innovative Knowledge Management theoretical foundation focused on the actual work practices of small European knowledge-intensive companies, integrating different elements of organisational structures.
The abovementioned scientific and technological objectives of the project will be seamlessly integrated and will continuously interact throughout the duration of the project, in order to fully meet the stated needs of the participating SMEs. Consequently, the two abovementioned incorporated objectives form the project's innovative holistic knowledge management framework (OrganiK KM Framework).
